Barton's bottom in lesbian love story

HOLLYWOOD beauty Mischa Barton has proved she is no shrinking violet on the big screen after agreeing to show her bottom again in her latest movie, You and I, in which she plays a Russian teenager who falls in love with another girl in Moscow.

Barton's character Lana Starkova is an aspiring model who finds herself dealing with the unsavoury side of the fashion industry when she turns up for a casting.

"She has a scene in a modelling agency where a man asks her to show her arse because that's what can happen in a modelling agency," British director Roland Joffe told AAP at the 61st edition of the International Film Festival.

"It is humiliating and a lot of actresses would have said, 'I dont want my arse shown full screen thank you very much', but Mischa knew this is what the scene was all about. She is a brave actress."

Mischa Barton moves to Paris

Mischa Barton has escaped the temptations of Hollywood following her 2007 arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) - by moving to Paris, France.

The former 'The OC' star was sentenced to three years' unsupervised probation in April, after she was arrested in Los Angeles last year for driving under the influence of alcohol, possessing marijuana and driving without a license.

Barton is now eager to leave her wild ways behind her, and has temporarily set up home in the French capital.
